Change Your Physiology
If you’re wanting to improve your confidence quickly then one tip is to change your physiology. Numerous studies have shown the impact that changing your body language can have on your emotions and confidence. By simply adopting a more powerful physiology, you can instantly improve your emotional state and confidence.
The reason I like this tip is that you can do it instantly. You don’t need to prep, get changed in special clothes or require any equipment. You can do it right now from where you are! (If that isn’t a convenient tip for confidence-building then I don’t know what is!)
Ways To Improve Your Physiology
Let’s some at some quick ways on how to improve your body language and start to build your confidence:
- Sit or stand up straight
- Shoulders back
- Chin up
- Adopt a power pose (hands on hips like a superhero)
- Smile
- Laugh
These are just some of the ways you can improve your body language. You can do as many or as few as you’d like. Find whatever works for you. Remember, this is your life. This is about you. Don’t worry so much about what others think. You need to find a method that works for you.
Hone In On The Emotions
As you do these things, I want you to focus on the emotions you are feeling. Emotions will intensify the building of your confidence. Let’s say you’re doing your best Superman or Wonder Woman impression – stood up straight, hands on hips, chin up and chest out.
How do you feel?
Don’t say something generic like, “good”. Be specific. Do you feel powerful? In control? Strong? Formidable? Confident?…
Be very specific about the emotion you’re feeling. Hone in on it and hold onto it. This will take practice. You might feel silly at first, but who cares?! This is your confidence and your life we’re talking about. No one else’s!
Go ahead. Strike a pose!
